1) Checklist for use when making claims
PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING YOUR APPLICATION IN - REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST:
FILL IN AND SEND Skills for Care ( SFC ) FUNDING CLAIM FORMS IN DUPLICATE. MAKE SURE THE CANDIDATE'S NAMES & ALL OTHER DETAILS ARE LEGIBLE.
IN ADDITION PLEASE E-MAIL A COPY OF THE FUNDING CLAIM FORM TO peterwebb@btinternet.com
SEND ALL NVQ / COMMON INDUCTION STANDARDS, LEARNING DISABILITY QUALIFICATIONS INDUCTION (LDQ )EVIDENCE, IN DUPLICATE, (TWO COPIES). COMMON INDUCTION STANDARDS and LDQ EVIDENCE MUST HAVE NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBERS. NO TEMPORARY N I NUMBERS, (I E THOSE BEGINNING WITH TNARE) ALLOWED.

2) General information
The employer "Lead Partner" is the London Borough of Hillingdon and the project performance will be regularly reviewed by the Lead Partner's Group.
Funding is administered by Yarrow Housing Ltd, as the disbursement agent, but always liaise with Peter Webb of Penn Consultants if queries over a payment arise.

3) Joining the North West London TSIF Partnership
During early 2008, details of the 2008/2009 bidding process were available to all social care employers in North West London.
Interested parties will have to complete the following, if they have not already done so; Partnership form (form 4) to join the North West London Care Consortium TSIF partnership There is no workforce plan form this year.
Partners will be allocated units (TSI Funding provides a contribution to the total cost of training)

5) What you can claim for
Common Induction Standards. These must be to the standards set by Skills for Care and organisations may be audited for compliance.

6) Making claims
Evidence must be submitted IN DUPLICATE and forwarded to Peter Webb at the address given above ( see contacts Section 4 ). Do not wait until near the end of the contract period - send your evidence at any time.
Your claim must contain:
- A Funding claim form IN DUPLICATE for the year 2008 / 2009 Click here
- Your NMDS-SC Registration number (see Section 11)

- Evidence of NVQ achievement IN DUPLICATE (if applicable) signed, printed name and dated by the accredited assessor and internal verifier at the time this was carried out. Such evidence is generally known as "unit summary, or achievement sheets, samples are available in section 7 below but you may use other forms provided all the information is supplied. The assessment and internal verification must have been carried out between 1st Jan 2008 and 10th March 2009.
NVQ evidence must also contain:
- The NVQ Centre name and number
- The Candidates name & signature
- The Candidates registration number
- The Awarding Body ( e.g. City and Guilds, Edexcel, etc)
- The NVQ unit number & description
- If these are hand written, please make sure they are legible.
The NVQ evidence may be for individual units, part or complete awards.
If applying for complete awards the unit summary sheets must be supplied. A certificate, or SRF is not acceptable evidence.
Completion of certain NVQ, assessor and verifier units' or complete awards. (see list of acceptable units - section 5).
7) Examples of NVQ evidence
The evidence of NVQ unit achievement should normally be held in the learners NVQ portfolio. In some cases it may be necessary for the employer to obtain this evidence from the relevant training provider or College of Further Education.
If you carry out NVQ assessments in house (NVQ 2 / 3 only) please make sure the internal verifier provides all appropriate dated signatures to support your claim.

Remember you can use other forms if you wish including those provided by your training provider but please make sure all the information is provided as in these examples and as detailed in section 6 above.
8) Invoicing
YOU MUST NOT send an invoice until your submission has been approved by Skills for Care at Leeds. Invoices sent without approval or for incorrect amounts will be returned to the employer.
Please Note:
The example of an invoice below, shows the detail that you must include in your invoice. Basically, the invoice must have your company name and contact details and the value of the claim that you are making, this will be the figure that has been e-mailed to you.
BACS details are also required so that the payment can be made to your company / organisation.
Payments cannot be made to individuals.
The unit value of £70.00 cannot have VAT added to it, if you are vat registered then your invoice must include the vat within the £70.00 per unit and in that case the invoice must carry a vat number. The address to send the invoice to is included in the sample below.

9) Postal charges
Please check with http://www.royalmail.com to make sure that you are using the up-to-date charges.
Items posted with the incorrect rates of postage will not be collected from distant sorting offices and your claim will be lost.

11) National Minimum Data Set (NMDS-SC) information
Skills for Care require an NMDS -SC Registration number before making any TSI claim. In London this will be "G" followed by five, six or seven digits. e g G123456. You only need to supply this once and not add to every claim.
Also the details of the organisational questionnaire of NMDS -SC must have been updated on line after 1 April 2008. This can be done by accessing the web site http://www.nmds-sc-online.org.uk and logging on as an existing user. You will require the user name and password to do this.
